The local area has plenty of things to do:- there are the underground caves at Ville-Franche, the Petit Train Jaune which takes passengers up into the Pyrenees, Aqua Land Water Park, African safari park, Port du Gard, Canal du Midi and the medieval walled city of Carcassone. Fitou is also equi-distant between Perpignan and Narbonne which are lovely cities with shops, boutiques, bars and restaurants. There are also many sports to try locally from hiking and mountain biking to horse-riding, rock climbing and kite or wind-surfing. Fitou is also very close to the ski resorts in the Pyrenees and Barcelona is less than an hour’s drive away.

The kitchen has been fully renovated and equipped and leads on to the terrace, garden and newly decked pool, which are ideal for relaxing and al fresco dining. A large barbeque is also provided. The west facing gardens have views of Alaric mountain, and offer lots of shade for hot summer days.
The pool has its own shower room. Being stone built the house is very cosy and retains the heat from the gas central heating and two working fireplaces.
